Moodle has an internal messaging system that allows users to communicate with each other. This is different than emails sent through Moodle, which are sent to your VTC email account.
To send a message to a classmate:
From the Navigation block (left-hand side of your courses), click the “Current Course” link (unless it is already expanded – see pictures below). Once the menu expands, select “Participants.”
Click the name of the user you would like to message.
Under the user’s profile, you will see the “send message” link. Click that, type your message and send!
