Add a printer

Windows 7

  • Click the Start menu
  • Enter: \\vtcprinters.vtc.vsc.edu into the search bar and press ENTER
  • When prompted for credentials, enter:
    • ¬†Username:¬†vtc\<<yourVTCusername>>
    • Password: <<yourVTCpassword>>
  • When the print server window appears, find the printer you want to add and double-click it to connect.
    • Note: The naming convention is the abbreviation of the building name followed by the room number.
    • Note: We only support Windows 7 64-bit drivers on our print server, so if you have Windows 7 32-bit or a previous version of Windows, you will need to download and install the driver yourself.

Set Default Printer in Windows 7

  • Click the Start menu
  • Click Devices and Printers
  • Right-click on the printer you would like as your default
  • Choose “Set as default printer”

Delete a Printer in Windows 7

  • Click the Start menu
  • Click Devices and Printers
  • Right click on the printer you would like to delete
  • Choose “Remove”
